Description:

Fast paced and growing Mechanical Contractor is seeking a qualified candidate for a HVAC Mechanic. Do you have strong experience in understanding plans, layout, and safety? Then this is a role for you!

The ideal candidate will have Minimum 4+ years of experience. Candidate must have the ability to be a proactive problem solver, work independent with accuracy and follow through to completion. A clear understanding of principles, methods, and techniques of mechanical construction, corporate and industry practices, process and standards and their impact on project activities

Qualification:

  • Ability to communicate on all levels
  • Must have reliable transportation to the jobsite daily
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs, be able to bend/stoop, squat/crouch, climb, kneel and twist
  • Must be able to climb ladders, work both inside and outside, and around moving equipment safely.
  • OSHA 10 / OSHA 30 (Preferred)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
  • HVAC Trade experience 4 years
  • Operations Card (Preferred i.e., scissor lift, forklift, etc.)

Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand blueprints along with building code specifications to determine work details and procedures
  • Assemble, fabricate and install metal duct and fiberglass board
  • Be familiar with all phases of duct installation
  • Understanding of different connectors and hanger layout
  • Collaborate with GC and other construction professionals
  • Fit and assemble details using standard holding devices or devise simple tooling to hold and maintain dimensional features
  • Drill and screw, rivet, solder spot weld, staple and tape or use standard locks, drives, seams, clips and connectors to join details
  • Fit, prep, set up and dress welds of items requiring welded joints
  • Assemble details in shop area or transport subassemblies to work site
  • Prepare area to accept items made, lay out and trim access holes, measure and locate position for hangers and brackets, make, position, and anchor as required
  • Install items and secure in place, check and correct any areas of interference or recommend changes as required to overcome unforeseen difficulties which might necessitate remake or rerouting of intended systems such as might be encountered in installing duct work or sheet metal pipe
  • Work with standard hand and power trades related tools and equipment
  • Produce cut sheets of custom ductwork fittings for fabrication (offsets)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems in commercial buildings. The Commercial HVAC Service Technician will ensure optimal system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide exceptional service to our commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on large-scale commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, air handlers, and more.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system issues, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration components.
  • Install, replace, and upgrade HVAC equipment and systems in commercial buildings.
  • Work closely with building management and clients to assess HVAC needs and provide solutions.
  • Ensure all work meets local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and procedures while performing tasks.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, new HVAC technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s license and OSHA 10 / 30 Preferred
  • Previous experience with commercial HVAC systems (e.g., rooftop units, chillers, large-scale air handling units).
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, operation, and troubleshooting in a commercial setting.
  • Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with advanced building management systems (BMS).
  • Familiarity with Florida HVAC codes and regulations.

Do you have strong experience estimating commercial HVAC jobs for a wide range of sectors, like hospitality, industrial, education and government projects? Then this is a role for you!

The ideal PM will have Minimum 5+ years of experience. Candidate must have the ability to be a proactive problem solver, work independent with accuracy and follow through to completion. A clear understanding of principles, methods, and techniques of mechanical construction, corporate and industry practices, process and standards and their impact on project activities.

Job Duties:

  • Total responsibility of completing a project from start to finish.
  • Provide key leadership and responsibility for all planning to ensure the work is done on time and within the projects budget.
  • Conduct hand-off meetings, kick-off meetings.
  • Determine resources needed for the job (i.e., manpower, material, equipment, etc).
  • Maintain professional and timely communication with customers, office staff, field workers, and vendors.
  • Negotiate with vendors to reach a profitable agreement.
  • Perform project set up, job costing system with labor, and material.
  • Conduct monthly reports and cost reviews.
  • Responsible for obtaining and coordinating appropriate Lien Waivers, state notifications, and tax documents as needed.
  • Attend jobsite meetings, job progress Meetings & perform project site documentation
  • Schedule material, equipment deliveries, tool/equipment rentals as needed
  • Assist with permitting and inspections.
  • Estimate change orders
  • Monitor status of Risk Management including Notice to Proceed, C.O.’s, contracts, COI, and bonds. Accountable for safety, productivity, and theft on a jobsite.
  • Hire field workers, foreman, and superintendents for jobs if needed.
  • Supervise the field workers to make sure the completing the project correctly, give guidance if needed.
  • Closeout project in a timely manner, final inspections, completing O&M’s, and start-up manuals.

Required Skills:

  • Undergrad or equivalent experience in Construction Management
  • 3+ years of experience as a commercial HVAC project manager
  • Experience with MS Project, ProCore, or similar project management software is a MUST.
  • Must have experience in working on multiple jobs at one time
  • Detail-orientated, multitasking skills, the ability to work outside the scope of work and have effective verbal communication skills.
  • Well-versed in the industry and the company’s competitors.
  • Skills in budgeting, forecasting, and completing a job within budget.
  • Experience in labor management.
  • A willingness to learn the proper procedures.
